Kente, a form of writing
Before it is a cloth, kente is a text: every band, every colour carries meaning.

A material with a memory
The craft inherited from West African weavers meets couture cutting here. On a structured coat, a kente band underlines a shoulder, extends a lapel, signs a pocket. The cloth stops being decoration and becomes architecture.
Colour as signature
Gold, indigo, burnt earth, deep green: the Deugs palette draws on the codes of wax and kente, but disciplines them. Against black or ivory, these colours become the single point of brilliance in an otherwise restrained silhouette.
